I walked away from the church a year ago and find myself peeking through the bushes just like your buddy Teddy.

I'm interested in Tom-Tom's weight journey. We've taken in several stray cats and care for several more, and one is packing it on. While she's nowhere near Tom-Tom's size, I'm aware. I have to ask, though: just how do you force feed a cat? I can't imagine doing so without a suit of armor!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00307934184509018427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091264729238446677.post-84481348119630238042008-06-30T15:58:00.000-07:002008-06-30T15:58:00.000-07:00Thanks, David.Until all are equal, none are whole....Thanks, David.

Until all are equal, none are whole.

I have come to think of these "new communion" folks as human segregationists. They may be beyond color (but I am not sure of that), but it is clear, they are not beyond gender or gender identification or anything other term applied to the whole of us all.

I have this picture in my mind of a bowling alley without the pins and balls: Little slots that some believe we all belong in. Put all the bowling alleys in the world, end to end, and that's how it works from the oppressors viewpoint with the only light shining on their particular "slot".

Creepy picture if you ask me.Canyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14737285360280766111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091264729238446677.post-59164592149489761042008-06-29T22:28:00.000-07:002008-06-29T22:28:00.000-07:00I couldn't have expressed it better myself, if I t...I couldn't have expressed it better myself, if I tried hard.

I really like you're Blog, it Expresses so much.

Keep up His good works, You Really Won't Be Sorry!!David G.https://www.blogger.com/profile/15579600744831973105noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091264729238446677.post-89070727562902019322008-06-25T10:05:00.000-07:002008-06-25T10:05:00.000-07:00David: It IS strange... I want you to know that I very much understand and appreciate the rescue work you are doing. In the rural area where I have my office, I have represented three (dog) rescue kennel owners who have been hassled by the County over their use permits (claiming they have exceeded, on a seasonal basis, the number of resident animals they are allowed). In each case, we got the County to back down---but in each case, I might add, the real problem was not the County, but new neighbors who had moved into the area (from a more urban setting), and who could not abide the occasional noise from the kennels.

Through these clients I have come to know a number of local residents dedicated to the rescue of certain breeds, and who constitute a network to contact when a stray or homeless animal appears. I know from experience that all of these operations are not carried on for profit, but from the sheer love for God's fellow creatures which you all have in abundance. May His Blessings be upon you in all that you do.A. S. My family has experienced ...What a beautiful post. My family has experienced this from the opposite side, as my wife was given up for adoption when she was born. My in-laws are wonderful folks and gave her a great life, and she will always consider them as her parents. In recent years, she found and has gotten to know her birth mother -- which, while difficult at first, as it is something that initially threw a wrinkle into the family fabric, has been good. She has been able to explain to us -- much as you have here -- what was going through her mind when she gave my wife up for adoption, the struggle she had in coming to grips with the situation, and the joy when the two of them were first reunited.

I think I was the one that had the biggest problem at first because she was wanting to make herself such a part of our family's life, and I thought it was a disruption for the peaceful little world that I had wanted to put together for my wife and (now) two daughters. However, a close friend made me realize that instead of looking at this as a disruption, I should look at her as yet another person to love my wife and love my daughters. Since that time, things have been wonderful -- and her son (my wife's half-brother) has since become godfather for our youngest daughter, and both are valued members of the family.

Sorry for the long story there -- thanks for sharing such a personal post.NoVA Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16661990626635939447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091264729238446677.post-66834840479013299362008-05-23T11:56:00.000-07:002008-05-23T11:56:00.000-07:00This isn't really relevant to your post for today,...This isn't really relevant to your post for today, but I wanted to thank you for visiting my blog and for commenting on my Lambeth post. I hope you'll come back and visit often.

In the meantime, I'm now off to poke around through YOUR blog...NoVA Dadhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16661990626635939447noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7091264729238446677.post-76197974983043510382008-05-10T17:03:00.000-07:002008-05-10T17:03:00.000-07:00I remember the time well.
