Pinnie made her second return to the veterinarian today, and all the news is good!
She got her stitches out, and a little bit of fluid which has built up around the tip of the pin drained. Her x-rays show the bone is beginning to calcify and perhaps in two more weeks we will know if the pin can then be removed.
Pinnie now has a roommate, Abby, who is a bit anemic and on iron supplements in preparation for her upcoming dental and tooth (hopefully not teeth) removal. She is a 10 year-old abyssinian, a breed believed to be genetically closest to a wild cat. They are not for everyone, but I find them remarkable. This cat tilts her head like a border collie so often will, as if to say, "What?"
How do we find middle ground?
