Welcoming in Kiko, the Maine Coon

Kiko arrived today, care of a son of a gentleman being treated for cancer. So, both Kiko and her former dad and his family need prayers.

Kiko is a lovely big boy. I don't know WHY all the cats coming in are so overweight (well, actually I do know... it's open feeding and dry food... grrrrrr. Always presents an additional challenge for the new cats, poor dears), but we're going to start fixing that right away. MCs are often large cats, but obese and large are two different things. This four year-old is just gorgeous though and hopefully he will find a new forever home really soon!
