AfternoonUp: McCain's bad choice, Hijacking Christianity

Andrew Sullivan, Atlantic.com, today quotes Frum in a head's up piece concluding, "Whatever few doubts I may once have still had about this election, they are resolved now. ... Obama has to win. The alternative is unthinkable." Um, yeah! The conclusion is made by McCain's pick of Palin.

This video is pretty enlightening is some ways... worth the 6min listen.

Hijacking Christianity, a topic near and dear to this heart and I know a number of yours, is addressed in this fine piece. It underlines what I have said all along--this wasn't about women, it was about solidifying the evangelical base, and if the person to do that was a woman, all the better. So, what we NOW have is an issueless campaign, divided by religion, spinning on a clueless woman that cannot even talk on issues but has one helluva gun-toting, abrasive personality. Swell.
